Bitter Harvest

Synopsis

Bitter Harvest is a historical romantic drama set in 1930s Soviet Ukraine, following the life of a young artist named Yuri (Max Irons) and his struggle for survival during the Holodomor, a genocidal famine orchestrated by Joseph Stalin. Yuri's love for his childhood sweetheart, Natalka (Samantha Barks), is put to the test as they face the atrocities of the Soviet regime. With stunning visuals and emotional depth, the film portrays the resilience and sacrifice of the Ukrainian people in the face of oppression and tragedy.
