Reviews
Despite its promising concept, 'Burying the Ex' fails to deliver a truly engaging experience according to many critics. With a lackluster execution and uneven pacing, the film falls short of its potential. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a meager 29% rating, indicating a general consensus of disappointment among reviewers. The movie's attempt at blending horror and comedy is often viewed as forced and ineffective, resulting in a tonally inconsistent narrative. While Anton Yelchin's performance is praised for bringing charm to the lead role, the overall plot feels predictable and uninspired. IMDb rates the movie at 5.4/10, reflecting a mixed reception from audiences as well. Metacritic's score of 37/100 further underscores the film's struggles to strike the right balance between its genres and deliver a satisfying viewing experience.
