Reviews
Fever received mixed to moderate reviews from critics. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.3/10 based on user votes, indicating a divided response. Some reviewers praised Sam Neillโs compelling performance and the atmospheric period setting, highlighting the film's eerie tone and suspenseful narrative. For example, certain users noted, "Neillโs portrayal brings depth to a challenging role, anchoring the film effectively." However, others criticized the pacing and found the plot somewhat predictable and lacking in emotional engagement. The film has not been widely rated on Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic, reflecting a limited release and niche appeal. Overall, Fever appeals to fans of vintage thrillers and historical dramas but may leave general audiences wanting more clarity and dynamism.
