Reviews
Despite its star-studded cast and impressive visual effects, 'Godzilla' received mixed reviews from critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a paltry 20% rating, with critics calling it a lackluster attempt at reviving the iconic monster for a new generation. While some praised the film's action sequences and special effects, others criticized its lack of character development and reliance on formulaic plot elements. IMDb rated the film at 5.4/10, with some viewers enjoying the monster mayhem while others found it to be a disappointing entry in the Godzilla franchise. Metacritic gave 'Godzilla' a score of 32/100, with critics noting its shortcomings in storytelling and characterization. Overall, the film failed to live up to the expectations of both audiences and critics, falling short of capturing the magic of the original Japanese monster movies.
