Synopsis
Ward Six, based on the classic Anton Chekhov short story, follows Dr. Andrey Ragin, a physician who becomes a patient in the very mental asylum he once ran. The film delves deep into the themes of sanity, madness, and the fine line between them. As Dr. Ragin navigates the oppressive and corrupt system of Ward Six, he questions his own beliefs and struggles to maintain his grip on reality. The deteriorating conditions of the asylum and the power dynamics between the staff and patients drive the narrative towards a haunting climax that challenges perceptions of mental health institutions and human nature.
