Synopsis

Set in the Old West, Doc (1971) is a revisionist take on the iconic figure of Dr. John Henry Holliday, played by Stacy Keach. The film chronicles the life of the infamous dentist turned gambler during turbulent times in the lawless town of Tombstone, Arizona. Known for his wit and quick draw, Doc Holliday struggles with the weight of his past and his relationships, particularly with the notorious gunfighter Wyatt Earp and the seductive and troubled love interest, Kate. As tensions rise in Tombstone, and with his tuberculosis worsening, Doc finds himself pulled into a world of violence and confrontation. The film presents a blend of gritty realism and character-driven drama, exploring themes of friendship, loyalty, and the moral complexities of living in a brutal world.
