Reviews

In the Name of the King 2: Two Worlds received mixed to negative reviews from critics and audiences alike, with a low score of 3.1/10 on IMDb. Critics pointed out that while the film attempted to weave an epic narrative, it fell short in execution. 'The film lacks coherence and depth,' one critic noted, reflecting the sentiment of many reviewers who found the plot convoluted and the pacing uneven. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has no significant audience scores to bolster its reputation, further highlighting its struggle to engage viewers. Another reviewer remarked, 'Dolph Lundgren does his best with the material he's given, but itโ€™s not enough to elevate the film.' Despite the heavy reliance on martial arts and fantastical elements, many found the overall production quality lacking, with comments on its cheap feel. Some appreciated the film's ambition in blending modern and medieval themes, yet the overwhelming sentiment remained that it could not escape the shadow of its predecessorโ€™s shortcomings. Overall, In the Name of the King 2 is seen as a missed opportunity in the fantasy genre, leaving audiences wishing for a stronger narrative and better-crafted characters.
