Synopsis

MS Slavic 7 is an introspective drama centered on Franny, played by Deragh Campbell, a young woman grappling with the recent death of her grandmother. She embarks on a solitary journey to the archives of the Polish Museum of America in Chicago to sift through a trove of letters written in Polish by her grandmother's late husband, a Polish émigré poet. Through the letters, Franny delves into themes of memory, identity, and the intergenerational connections that shape our understanding of the past and ourselves. The film uses a contemplative pace and minimalistic style to explore grief, the nature of language, and the preservation of personal history.
