Synopsis

In the film Rurouni Kenshin Part I: Origins, viewers are transported to the Meiji Era in Japan where a mysterious swordsman named Kenshin Himura roams the streets, wielding a reverse-blade sword and seeking atonement for his violent past as an assassin during the Bakumatsu war. When Kenshin crosses paths with Kaoru Kamiya, a spirited young woman and the owner of a kendo dojo, he finds himself drawn into a conflict involving a ruthless drug lord who threatens the peace of the city.
