Reviews
You Kill Me has garnered a mix of responses from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it boasts an approval rating of 79%, indicating general favor from the audience. The film's blend of humor and crime drama has caught the attention of many. 'Kingsley's performance is a masterclass in the art of subtlety,' mentions one critic from The Hollywood Reporter, while another from Variety adds, 'the quirkiness and deadpan humor of the script set it apart from conventional mob flicks.' However, some reviews note that while the film shines in humor, it occasionally falters in pacing. As stated by the San Francisco Chronicle, 'the film sometimes struggles to maintain the engagement level of the viewer, but Kingsleyโs presence keeps it grounded.' IMDb users rated the film a 6.4/10, pointing out the film's charm but also its uneven narrative. Metacritic scores it at 64/100, reflecting mixed or average reviews, with one user summarizing, 'Itโs an enjoyable watch, but donโt go in expecting a traditional gangster story.' Overall, while 'You Kill Me' may not break new ground, it offers a distinct take on a familiar genre, highlighted by stellar performances and a witty script.
