Reviews
The Banker has received mixed reviews from critics, with an IMDb rating of 7.3/10, Rotten Tomatoes score of 79%, and a Metacritic rating of 59/100. While some praised the performances of Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson, describing them as powerful and engaging, others felt the plot lacked depth and failed to fully explore the complexities of the characters. Variety noted, 'The Banker shines a light on an important untold story in American history', while The Guardian criticized the film for its lack of emotional depth. Overall, The Banker offers a captivating narrative that sheds light on a lesser-known chapter of the civil rights movement, but falls short of fully realizing its potential.
