Reviews
Despite a talented cast led by Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy, The Man failed to impress critics and audiences alike. The film was criticized for its predictable plot and reliance on tired comedic tropes. According to Rotten Tomatoes, The Man has a dismal approval rating of only 12%, with critics dismissing it as a forgettable action-comedy that fails to leave a lasting impact. Metacritic's score of 33/100 reflects the general consensus that the film falls short of expectations, with reviewers pointing out its lackluster script and uneven pacing. IMDb's rating of 5.5/10 also mirrors the lukewarm reception, with many viewers finding the movie to be a mediocre addition to the buddy cop genre. While the chemistry between the lead actors is commendable, The Man ultimately struggles to rise above its formulaic storytelling and fails to stand out in a crowded genre.
