Reviews
Despite the intriguing premise of The Mouse Trap, the film has not fared well with critics. Described by Rotten Tomatoes as a "missed opportunity" and holding a disappointing 2.5/10 rating on IMDb, it seems that many viewers found the execution lacking. 'The film has its moments, but they are overshadowed by a convoluted script,' stated a reviewer from MovieWeb, reflecting a common sentiment. Another critic noted, 'While the setting gives it a classic whodunit feel, the characters lack depth, making it hard to care about their fates.' Moreover, Metacritic rated the film poorly, with most reviews pointing out the pacing issues and lack of engaging dialogue. As one audience member remarked, 'It's a decent attempt at a thriller, but ultimately falls flat due to predictable plot twists.' Overall, 'The Mouse Trap' appears to struggle to deliver the thrills and suspense it promises, leaving many critics and viewers underwhelmed by the final product.
