Reviews
Double Take receives mixed reviews from critics. While some praise the energetic performances of Orlando Jones and Eddie Griffin, others criticize the film for its predictable plot and lackluster execution. The action sequences are deemed electrifying and well choreographed, adding an element of excitement to the storyline. However, the film's reliance on cliches and formulaic tropes may leave some viewers wanting more originality. On IMDb, the movie holds a rating of 5.4/10, with viewers expressing varying opinions on its entertainment value. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a low score of 12%, indicating a generally negative reception among critics. Metacritic also rates Double Take with a modest 25/100, citing the film's failure to deliver a compelling narrative despite the charismatic performances of its cast. Overall, Double Take is an average action-comedy that offers moments of fun but falls short of being a standout in the genre.
