Reviews
Mission Kashmir received a mix of critical responses, balancing praise for its ambitious storytelling and performances with critiques of its occasionally melodramatic tone. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.6/10, reflecting a generally favorable audience reception. Critics applauded the film for its daring approach to a sensitive and complex geopolitical issue, with Sanjay Dutt's compelling portrayal of a devoted police officer earning specific commendation. The performances of Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta were also highlighted for adding emotional depth. However, some reviewers pointed out that the film’s pacing was uneven, and the narrative sometimes leaned heavily on melodrama, which diluted its impact. The soundtrack by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and A. R. Rahman was lauded for complementing the film’s intense mood. Overall, Mission Kashmir was seen as a courageous effort that combined commercial cinema elements with a serious message, though not without its flaws.
