Synopsis

In the midst of the Civil War, a wounded Union soldier, played by Colin Farrell, seeks refuge at a secluded all-girls boarding school in Virginia. Initially met with caution by the headmistress, played by Nicole Kidman, and the students, his presence soon stirs up a range of emotions and hidden desires among the women. As the soldier charms the women with his charisma and vulnerability, tension mounts within the walls of the school, leading to unexpected consequences.
