The film's shallow plot and predictable storyline received mixed reviews from critics. Metacritic gave it a low score of 37 out of 100, indicating generally unfavorable reviews. Rotten Tomatoes rated it at only 13%, with critics agreeing that the film lacked originality and depth. Despite these criticisms, some viewers appreciated the chemistry between Nick Cannon and Christina Milian, praising their performances as the highlights of the movie.
