Synopsis

Based on the novel by Yukio Mishima, 'Sound of Waves' follows the story of Shinji, a poor fisherman who falls in love with Hatsue, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy ship owner on the island of Uta-jima. Their budding romance faces numerous challenges due to societal expectations and class differences.
