Reviews
The Gathering has garnered mixed reviews from critics. According to IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.6/10, indicating a blend of admiration and critique. Positive reviews often highlight Christina Ricci's captivating performance, praising her ability to bring depth to her character amidst the film's eerie atmosphere. For instance, a reviewer from the Chicago Sun-Times commented, 'Ricci delivers a haunting portrayal that keeps viewers engaged despite the film's slow pace.' Metacritic, however, showcases more divided opinions, with some reviewers pointing out that while the film's premise is intriguing, its execution falters. One critic noted, 'The Gathering promises a lot but ultimately lacks coherence and leaves too many questions unanswered.'
