Reviews

The Devil Dared Me To received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.4/10, showing a polarized response from viewers. Critics praised the movie for its unique, quirky humor and energetic performances, particularly highlighting Chris Stapp's commitment to his role. The film's offbeat style and dark comedic tone were appreciated by fans of cult and indie cinema. However, some reviewers from mainstream outlets found the film's humor too niche and occasionally tiresome, pointing out that its low-budget production and bizarre narrative might not appeal to everyone. Rotten Tomatoes did not have a critic score but audience reactions indicated a divided opinion, with some celebrating the film's originality and stunt sequences, while others critiqued its storyline and pacing. Metacritic also lacks a formal score but the general consensus leans towards a cult classic status rather than broad commercial acclaim. Overall, The Devil Dared Me To is regarded as a bold and entertaining experiment in stunt comedy that may resonate more with a specific audience who appreciates eccentric and daring storytelling.
