Reviews
Relative Strangers received a variety of reviews from critics. While some appreciated the film's comedic moments and the performances of the talented cast, others found the plot predictable and the humor lacking depth. The New York Times praised the chemistry between Danny DeVito and Kathy Bates, stating that their interactions added emotional depth to the otherwise formulaic storyline. On the other hand, Variety criticized the film for relying too heavily on clichรฉs and failing to deliver innovative humor. Despite mixed reviews, Relative Strangers managed to entertain audiences with its light-hearted approach to family dynamics and the exploration of identity. Overall, the movie achieved a fair balance of heartwarming moments and comedic situations, making it a decent watch for those looking for a simple, feel-good comedy. IMDb users rated Relative Strangers 5.3/10.
