Synopsis

Set in the Appalachian Mountains in the 1850s, 'The Last Sin Eater' follows the story of a young girl, Cadi Forbes, who is burdened by the guilt of her sister's death. Cadi sets out on a journey to find a sin eater, a person believed to cleanse the sins of the deceased. As she unravels the mysteries of her community's past and confronts the dark secrets hidden within, Cadi discovers the true meaning of forgiveness and redemption.
