Reviews
Despite a talented cast led by Al Pacino, "88 Minutes" fails to deliver a compelling narrative that matches the intensity of its premise. Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a dismal 5% rating, with critics noting its lackluster execution and predictable plot twists. IMDb's rating of 5.9/10 echoed similar sentiments, citing mediocre pacing and underdeveloped characters. Metacritic's score of 17/100 pointed out the film's disjointed storytelling and missed opportunities to capitalize on Pacino's performance. While the concept of a time-limited thriller holds promise, '88 Minutes' struggles to maintain suspense or provide a satisfying resolution, leaving viewers wanting more.
