Reviews
Boundaries garnered mixed reviews upon its release, holding a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating a divided critical reception. Some reviewers praised its strong performances, particularly Christopher Plummer's portrayal of the flawed yet endearing father figure. The New York Times described the film as "a bittersweet, character-driven road trip that offers genuine insights into family relationships." However, critics pointed out that the film's pacing and tone occasionally felt uneven, impacting the overall narrative cohesion. On IMDb, the movie holds a moderate user rating around 6.2/10, reflecting audience appreciation for its relatable themes despite certain storytelling shortcomings. Metacritic scored the movie 55/100, underscoring its reception as generally average.
