Reviews

Ma Boy received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. According to IMDb, the show holds a rating of 6.2 out of 10. Critics have praised the series for its light-hearted and fun premise, with Decider noting, 'Ma Boy offers a refreshing take on the classic gender-bender trope, making it a delightful watch for teens and young adults.' On Rotten Tomatoes, user reviews indicate that the show’s charm lies in its youthful exuberance and playful storyline. However, some criticism arises due to its simplistic plot and predictable twists. Metacritic users echoed similar sentiments, with one reviewer stating, 'While Ma Boy is endearing and cute, it often feels clichéd and lacks depth in characters. However, the performances, especially by Kim So-hyun, are commendable and keep the show engaging.' Overall, Ma Boy is appreciated for its light entertainment value but is perceived to fall short on originality and character development.
