Reviews
Super received mixed reviews from critics upon its release. While some praised Rainn Wilson's performance and the film's dark humor, others found the violent and graphic nature off-putting. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a 50% approval rating, with the consensus stating, "Super has moments of dark humor and a strong performance by Rainn Wilson, but it's uneven and uncomfortably violent." Metacritic also assigned a score of 50 out of 100, indicating mixed or average reviews. IMDb users rated the movie 6.7 out of 10, lauding the film's unique take on the superhero genre but criticizing its excessive violence.
