Rotten Tomatoes critics rated the film at 35%, citing its inconsistent pacing and lackluster character development. IMDb users also expressed mixed opinions, giving it a modest 5.7/10 rating. While some praised Colin Farrell's performance and the film's atmospheric setting, others found the plot disjointed and the romantic subplot unconvincing.
