Synopsis

Phillauri is a 2017 Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma under their production banner Clean Slate Films. The story follows the life of Kanan, a young man who is forced to marry a tree to ward off the bad luck before his actual wedding. This act inadvertently unleashes the ghost of Shashi, a friendly spirit trapped in the tree. As Kanan tries to get rid of Shashi's spirit, he unveils the secrets of her past life and love story while navigating his own present-day romantic relationships.
