Reviews
Critics have praised 'The Stalking Moon' for its masterful direction by Robert Mulligan and the outstanding performances by Gregory Peck and Eva Marie Saint. Richard Johnson of New York Times wrote, 'The atmospheric tension and the excellent character development make this Western a notable addition to the genre.' The film's slow-building suspense and emotional depth were highlighted by Roger Ebert, who rated it 4/5 stars, stating, 'The Stalking Moon grips the viewers with its raw intensity and powerful storytelling.' Despite being lesser-known compared to Peck's other works, the film has garnered a cult following over the years for its unique take on the Western genre. While some critics found the pacing to be slow, the majority appreciated the quiet intensity and intimate character dynamics portrayed in the movie.
