Synopsis
In the film 'Wake Me When the War Is Over', released in 1969, Ken Berry plays Lieutenant Shelly. The story follows Lieutenant Shelly mistakenly being declared dead during World War II and waking up years later in a French chateau which has been turned into a rest home for expatriate American widows. He must navigate through hilarious misunderstandings and schemes to try and return to his fiancee back in the United States. As Lieutenant Shelly gets entangled in the eccentric lives of the widows, he finds himself in unexpected and humorous situations, leading to a heartwarming and entertaining tale of mistaken identities and unexpected friendships.
