Synopsis

Kekkaishi follows the story of Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura, two young kekkaishi (demon exterminators) born into rival families who are tasked with protecting their town from malevolent creatures known as ayakashi. As they face various challenges and adversaries, Yoshimori and Tokine must navigate their blossoming friendship while honing their kekkai (barrier) making skills to maintain the balance between the hidden world of ayakashi and the human realm.
