Amidst this chaos, a group of warriors known as the Resiklo team utilizes reclaimed technology to fight off threats and protect the last bastions of human civilization. The film combines elements of action, adventure, and speculative sci-fi, exploring themes of resilience, environmental awareness, and humanity's fight against extinction.

Reviews

Transmutators (Resiklo) has met with a mixed to negative reception from critics and audiences alike. On IMDb, the film holds a low rating of 2.9 out of 10, indicating largely unfavorable opinions among viewers. Reviewers have pointed out that while the movie aims to deliver an ambitious sci-fi action narrative set in a dystopian future, it struggles with execution. Some critics praised its creativity in showcasing Filipino talent in the sci-fi genre, highlighting its effort to present an original post-apocalyptic setting unlike typical entries in Philippine cinema. However, many reviews note that the film is hampered by subpar special effects, uneven pacing, and a convoluted plot. According to user reviews on IMDb, "The action sequences feel lackluster and sometimes fail to engage," while others appreciated the attempt at a serious sci-fi storyline within a local context. Rotten Tomatoes does not list a Tomatometer rating due to limited critical coverage but reflects similarly modest viewer interest. Overall, Transmutators is recognized for its ambition and unique premise but criticized for failing to deliver a consistently compelling and polished cinematic experience.
