Synopsis

Samurai Hustle, released in 2014 and also known as 'Chokosoku! Sankin Kotai', is a comedic historical film set in the Edo period of Japan. The story follows Doichiro, a low-ranking samurai, who gets caught up in the grand process of Sankin Kotai, the ceremonial travel of feudal lords to and from the capital. As Doichiro embarks on this journey filled with mishaps and unexpected challenges, he learns valuable lessons about honor, courage, and the true meaning of being a samurai.
