Reviews

"The Dreamer" has received a mix of appreciative remarks highlighting its heartfelt storytelling and authentic portrayal of Indonesian rural life. IMDb rates the film at 6.8/10, indicating generally favorable audience reception. Critics have praised the film for its strong performances, particularly by newcomers Vikri Septiawan and Ahmad Syaifullah, as well as its vivid cinematography that brings the island setting to life. The film's emotional depth and uplifting message are often noted, with reviews applauding its encouragement of perseverance and hope. However, some critiques point out that the narrative pace can be slow at times, and the plot follows a somewhat predictable coming-of-age blueprint.
