Synopsis

1984 is a 1956 dystopian film adaptation of George Orwell's classic novel of the same name. The story unfolds in a totalitarian society ruled by the Party, led by the enigmatic figure Big Brother. Winston Smith, played by Edmond O'Brien, works for the Ministry of Truth where he alters historical records to fit the Party's narrative.
