Synopsis

In the summer of 1920, disillusioned war veteran Tom Birkin, played by Colin Firth, arrives in the rural English village of Oxgodby. Hired to uncover a medieval mural in the local church, Tom finds solace in the captivating but troubled atmosphere of the countryside.
