As he navigates relationships, ambition, and disillusionment, Fisher is faced with the seductive but destructive allure of wealth and privilege. Reviews

Affluenza divided critics upon its release in 2014. IMDb gave it a rating of 4.8 out of 10, while Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic were equally unimpressed with scores of 20% and 30 out of 100 respectively. The Hollywood Reporter described the film as 'visually alluring, but ultimately shallow,' highlighting its lack of depth in character development. On the other hand, Variety praised the film for its 'realistic portrayal of young adults grappling with identity and materialism.' Despite its mixed reception, Affluenza engages viewers with its exploration of the dark side of wealth and privilege, making it a thought-provoking watch for those interested in societal critiques.
