Reviews

Against the Grain received mixed reviews upon its release in 1993. While some critics praised the show for its authentic portrayal of small-town life and compelling family dynamics, others felt that it fell short in terms of character development and narrative depth. Variety described the show as 'a poignant reflection on the clash between tradition and personal ambition,' giving it a rating of 7/10. On the other hand, The New York Times criticized the series for its clicheฬd storyline and lack of originality, rating it 4/10.
