Reviews

Backroads has received mixed reviews from critics. Some praise the film for its stark portrayal of the Australian Outback and the excellent performances by Bill Hunter and the young Aboriginal actor, Gary Foley. The chemistry between the two leads and the authenticity of their characters' journey have been appreciated for capturing the harsh realities of life in the Outback. On the other hand, some critics have noted that the pacing of the film can be slow at times and the narrative lacks a clear direction. Despite these criticisms, Backroads has been lauded for its exploration of cultural themes and the powerful message it conveys about friendship and redemption.
