Synopsis

Basmati Blues is a romantic comedy set against the vibrant backdrop of India, following the story of Linda, a spirited and optimistic scientist portrayed by Brie Larson. Linda is dispatched by a U.S. agricultural company to introduce genetically modified rice to Indian farmers with promises of prosperity. However, she quickly finds herself immersed in the local culture and traditions, leading her to question the ethical implications of her mission.
