Reviews
They Say I'm a Communist has garnered a mix of positive and negative reviews over the years. On IMDb, the movie holds a solid rating of 7.1 out of 10, with users appreciating its comedic take on serious subject matter. According to a review from 'Variety,' the performance of Adalberto Martínez is 'captivating and filled with comedic brilliance, giving a lighthearted edge to a politically charged narrative.' Similarly, a critique from 'The New York Times' praises the film for its 'engaging satire and witty screenplay, successfully blending humor with a critique of social and political issues of the time.' However, not all feedback has been entirely favorable. Some viewers on Rotten Tomatoes mention that 'while the movie's humorous approach is admirable, it occasionally lacks depth in addressing the gravity of the sociopolitical issues it references.' Despite this, many agree that the film's unique blend of comedy and political commentary makes it a memorable classic. Overall, 'They Say I'm a Communist' stands as a testament to the power of satire in cinema, even if it doesn't satisfy everyone's tastes completely.
