Reviews

Frightmare has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. While some appreciate its cult appeal and vintage horror aesthetic, others find the plot lacking depth and the pacing slow. IMDb users rated Frightmare a modest 4.6/10, citing its kitschy charm as both a strength and a weakness. Critics from Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic have highlighted the film's atmospheric cinematography and eerie soundtrack, praising Ferdy Mayne's portrayal of Edmund Yates. However, several reviews mention a disjointed narrative and uneven performances that detract from the overall viewing experience. Despite its flaws, Frightmare remains a noteworthy entry in the British horror genre, showcasing a blend of gore and psychological suspense.
