Reviews
Critically, "Inspector Blunder" received mixed to moderately positive reviews. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.2/10, indicating general audience appreciation though not universal acclaim. Reviewers often praised Coluche's charismatic and comedic performance as the film's highlight. According to viewer comments on IMDb, many appreciate the film's slapstick elements and the humorous portrayal of police incompetence, which remains entertaining despite its dated style. However, some critics found the plot disjointed and felt the humor occasionally leaned too heavily on physical gags without sufficient narrative depth. Rotten Tomatoes does not have an aggregated critic score for the film, likely due to its limited release outside France, but user reviews tend to acknowledge it as a cult classic with a quirky charm. Metacritic does not list the movie, implying a niche reception. Overall, "Inspector Blunder" is regarded as an enjoyable comedy primarily for fans of Coluche and French cinema enthusiasts, even if it lacks the polish and structure of more mainstream productions.
