Reviews

Re-BORN received a mixed to positive response from critics and audiences alike. On IMDb, the film holds a rating around 6.6/10, reflecting appreciation for its thrilling action scenes and Lee You-mi's standout performance. Critics praised the realistic fight choreography and the film's gritty atmosphere, with several reviews highlighting its emotional core as a strength. For example, a reviewer from Asian Movie Pulse noted, "Lee You-mi's multi-faceted portrayal anchors the film’s narrative and gives it an emotional resonance uncommon in action movies." Conversely, some critics pointed out pacing issues and a somewhat predictable storyline as drawbacks. Rotten Tomatoes does not have an official rating for the film yet, indicating it remains somewhat under the radar internationally. Metacritic similarly lacks a formal aggregate score but features user reviews that commend the film’s stylistic elements while critiquing its narrative depth. Overall, Re-BORN is celebrated for its strong lead and action sequences but is seen as less innovative in terms of plot development.
