Sauna

Synopsis

Set in 16th century Finland, Sauna follows the story of two brothers, Eerik and Knut, who are on a mission to chart the unexplored regions of the country for the Swedish King. During their journey, they come across a village where a mysterious sauna is said to grant absolution to those who bathe in it. As the brothers delve deeper into the secrets of the sauna, they are faced with their own demons and the dark atrocities of war. The haunting atmosphere and psychological depth of the film make Sauna a unique exploration of guilt, redemption, and the horrors of the past.
