Shooting Fish has received mixed reviews from critics. While some praised the film's witty humor and charming performances, others found the plot to be a bit too contrived. The Guardian described it as 'a larky comedy caper with admittedly engaging performances' but pointed out its predictability. On the other hand, Empire Magazine praised the chemistry between the leads, calling it 'an amusing romp with a charismatic trio.' Despite its flaws, the film managed to keep audiences entertained with its quirky characters and light-hearted tone.
