Silent Tongue received a mixed reception from critics upon its release. While some praised the film for its atmospheric visuals and unconventional storytelling, others found the pacing slow and the narrative confusing. IMDb users rated it 5.2 out of 10, with reviews ranging from 'captivating' to 'tedious.' Despite the polarizing opinions, the performances of the cast, particularly River Phoenix and Richard Harris, were widely acclaimed for their depth and emotional resonance.
