Synopsis

Set in Prague during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia, The Cremator follows the unsettling journey of Karl Kopfrkingl, a cremator at a local crematorium. As the horrors of the war unfold, Kopfrkingl becomes obsessed with the idea of liberating the souls of the deceased through voluntary cremation.
