The Truman Show, released in 1998, follows the life of Truman Burbank, played by Jim Carrey, who unknowingly lives inside a giant television set. His every move is being broadcast live to the world without his knowledge, as he goes about his daily routine in the seemingly perfect town of Seahaven Island. Truman starts to question the reality of his existence, leading to a series of events that challenge the norms of reality TV and raise profound ethical questions about the nature of entertainment and privacy. As Truman begins to uncover the truth, the film explores themes of individual autonomy, the power of media manipulation, and the search for true freedom.
