Synopsis

In the war-torn Kurdish mountains near the Iran-Iraq border, a group of Kurdish teachers, each carrying a blackboard, wander through the vast landscapes in search of students. Said Mohamadi stars as Reeboir, a wandering teacher who comes across a group of young children trading on the Iranian side of the border. As he attempts to educate them, he faces the harsh realities of survival and the desperate struggles of the people around him. Blackboards is a poignant portrayal of resilience and the power of education amidst the chaos of war and poverty.
